Complaining asking why would anyone use the BD over a web rip is funny, especially when the comparisons you post are negligible and in other comparisons the web version looks notably worse. Higher bitrate source typically means better black levels and audio, not to mention some studios do edits to the BD release fixing animation mistakes. Unless the BD release adulterated the content (which has happened in some releases), I can't think of a reason to not use it over a web rip.

After zooming in to 500%, I finally found worse 'blocking' on the BD (https://slow.pics/c/Sh05Fo0l image 12 of the comparison; top-left corner). After finding what to look for, I was able to see that particular case of 'blocking' at 150%. I could also see a "difference" at 100%, but it didn't look like 'blocking' at that point. Note: This is on my work screen. On my entertainment screen, the darker and lighter areas of that particular part of image 12 are both darker, so it's harder to see the 'blocking'. My conclusion? There's barely any difference in the comparisons that were supposed to show the BD being worse. And because I'm a lazy fuck, I'll take the BD over the WEB just in case.
